On Saturday 17th May our loco 3850 carried a wreath in memory of long standing DMLL Director Len Young who sadly passed away on the previous Thursday after a short illness.

Len had been a Director of our company for over 30 years along with being a valued member of our volunteer workforce, initially a key volunteer in 7820’s restoration in the early 1990’s he was active up until 3850’s most recent washout completed just last month, if there was a washout taking place Len would be there!

All in DMLL will miss his wise words and support, carrying out many tasks that often may not be immediately obvious but were always very much valued.
