2011 Course Dates
Great Central Railway
Dates for the 2011 courses are the 7th, 8th and 9th of March, if you are interested in taking part in one of these days then please CONTACT us as soon as possible for further details and to register your interest as places are filling up quickly, places will be reserved on a first come first served basis. We will be hauling the 'Windcutter' rake of wagons making 4-5 round trips between Loughborough and Leicester North each day, each participant getting the opportunity to drive the length of the line one way and fire on the return, or vice versa. There may be the opportunity for a photographic run past or two time and weather conditions permitting and whilst not on the footplate you will be able to travel in one of the brake vans throughout the day. Participants must be 18 years of age or over and be physically able to climb on and off the locomotive. Full instruction is provided by fully trained and qualified staff, the course is suitable for people of all skill levels from complete beginners upwards.
