Extensive sections of steel platework are required to be replaced as can be seen in this
photo from the 15th May 2010. 


By early December the smokebox and front tubeplate had already been removed


6th November 2009, 7820's boiler was loaded and transported to Riley & Son for contract repair.


With the boiler removed the frames were steam cleaned in anticipation of the removal of
the brake and spring gear, it makes the job much more pleasant!
